About Me
I am a sociologist who specializes in equitable economic development and social policy in Los Angeles. My research has supported various policy initiatives across housing, transit, and workforce development including projects focused on high road training partnership initiatives, the active transportation workforce, social housing, universal fareless transit, care-based alternatives to policing on transit, and better bus service.

I completed my PhD in sociology at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA). Through my training, I developed a broad methodological toolkit - GIS mapping, interviewing, web-scraping, focus groups, historical research, discourse and content analysis, statistical analysis, case methods, and network analysis - which allows me flexibility and range in supporting any research needs. My research has been published in Urban Affairs Review, Studies in American Political Development, Social Currents, and the Los Angeles Times.

In addition to my research, I'm working on a romance novel exploring friendship, family, and modern intimacy in the context of contemporary techno-capitalism.
